2022: PreMama Genetic Test Submission to Determine Causes of Infertility

The company "System-BioTech" (part of AFK Sistema) has developed a genetic test PreMama, which is able to identify non-obvious causes of non-occurrence pregnancies and give recommendations for correcting the genetically embedded imbalance of metabolites in the body. In turn, this may contribute to the normalization of reproductive function and help get pregnant before the use of assisted technology. This was IVF Zdrav.Expert reported by representatives of Sistema-BioTech on December 8, 2022.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 50 million married couples around the world cannot have a child due to female or male infertility. In half of cases, genetic disorders are the cause.

According to representatives of Sistema-BioTech, the PreMama DNA test analyzes 48 genes in the DNA of a woman responsible for hormonal and implantation disorders, pregnancy complications and predisposition to thrombophilia and other causes. These are the most common circumstances of disturbances in the functioning of a woman's reproductive system. The study also provides an individual selection of metabolic correctors that make it possible to compensate for the genetically embedded imbalance of trace elements in the body and can contribute to the normalization of reproductive function.

"As a rule, those desperate to solve the problem of infertility of a couple resort to assisted reproductive technologies - IVF. But few know that there is an intermediate stage before this procedure that helps restore reproductive function for patients at any age and any infertility status. This is the restoration of biochemical processes in the body of a man and a woman, associated with their individual genotype and environmental factors: insolation, the level of toxins in the body and the peculiarities of metabolism. This correction is relevant both in the case of idiopathic infertility, and in previously unsuccessful attempts at IVF. At the same time, the further use of auxiliary technologies is not excluded, "said Natalya Pozdnyakova, director of science at the biotechnological company Sistema-BioTech.

According to her, the PreMama genetic test was developed taking into account world experience - foreign reproductologists, gynecologists, urologists, andrologists use DNA analysis in their practice. This analysis is able to identify non-obvious causes of pregnancy failure, as well as predict and prevent the possible difficulties of pregnancy in a couple.

"According to this data, the doctor will be able to correctly adjust the strategy for treating a patient with infertility and level his risks by the time pregnancy planning begins," concluded Natalya Pozdnyakova.

As noted in Sistema-BioTech, the first PreMama tests will be available in Medsi clinics, whose patients will be able to undergo a molecular genetic DNA study to determine the genetic predisposition to miscarriage and female infertility.

Medsi patients can also do a test developed by Sistema-BioTech to determine the causes of male infertility - PrePapa.
