Technology of modeling and condition monitoring of complex systems — TOFI
Since 2000 under the leadership of associate professor Gabbasov M.B. the staff of institute develops theoretical bases of TOFI technology. TOFI technology is intended for modeling and condition monitoring of any complex systems, both economic and social, and technical, technology and formalized.
TOFI technology in fact is technology of formalization of knowledge and represents set of concepts entities for creation of the thesaurus and classification of knowledge of the IT user. During creation of the thesaurus the user of technology defines the system of concepts with which it operates in the cogitative and practical activities that substantially is defined by his way of life. Thus, creating the thesaurus, the user defines the knowledge of the outside world (in the broadest sense the thesaurus is a lexicon of the person). Then the user will organize the knowledge of distribution of objects, objects and concepts of groups (classes) of the detected properties by means of tools of TOFI. TOFI technology uses classification as an order factor in any relations.
The name of TOFI is formed on the first letters of the main entities: Object types, Relations between types, Factors, Measuring instruments. The description of a status of any complex system in TOFI represents the description of object properties and relations between them. At the same time an object is understood as any substance or an entity of data domain, and as an object property - characteristic of an object which fixation defines its status. Objects have four groups of properties: factors (qualitative object properties and their relations), measuring instruments (quantitative object properties and their relations), cost items (financial object properties and their relations) and other properties (the image, the contents in the form of the text, etc.). The main feature of technology of TOFI is that properties are primary, and objects are defined as set of properties. The behavior of an object is defined by its opportunity to change the properties and properties of other objects. Objects of data domain usually exist in some time frame, eventually some objects or properties "die", others – "are born". Therefore, models of real data domain are dynamic, i.e. time-dependent. For drawing up dynamic models in TOFI technology are used a concept of the period.
Modeling tool of TOFI
The usefulness of development of such technology of the description of a status of complex systems, becomes even more obvious if to mean that the further analysis of the described status is carried out using modern computers and all necessary status information should is stored in bases and databanks. The offered technology of TOFI is implemented in the form of the software product independent of data domain and allowing to model a status of complex systems the means which are built in it for any data domain. The modeling tool of TOFI submits the client-server application on a basis DBMS MS SQL Server 2000. In it almost all opportunities of technology of TOFI for creation of model and condition monitoring of complex systems are implemented.
