2020: Hybrid Wi-Fi TP-Link Deco P9 mesh-system

On February 3, 2020 the TP-Link company provided in Russia hybrid Wi-Fi the TP-Link Deco P9 mesh-system with support of data transmission on Powerline technology.

According to the producer, TP-Link Deco P9 is Wi-Fi a mesh-system at data transfer rate to 867 Mbps on the range of 5 GHz and up to 300 Mbps on the range of 2.4 GHz which also allows to transfer data between modules at a speed up to 1000 Mbps according to the Powerline standard. The Powerline standard allows to use electric wiring for formation of more reliable mesh-network between modules and to create a seamless covering.

Simultaneous support of Powerline and Wi-Fi allows Deco P9 to provide higher common data rate in network and also more reliable covering on the big square – thanks to the best overcoming obstacles in the form of thick walls. The set from two modules is capable to cover the area to 370 square meters, and a set from three modules – up to 560 square meters, claim in TP-Link.

Each module Deco P9 has a chipset from Qualcomm, two gigabit ports Ethernet with automatic recognition of WAN/LAN and also two built-in dual band antennas. The modules Deco P9 can work both in the router mode, and in the mode of access points and support such wireless technologies as TP-Link Mesh, MU-MIMO, Beamforming, Band Steering, Auto Path selection and Self-Healing, pocherknul in TP-Link.

As noted in TP-Link, initial setup of devices is made from mobile application Deco available for smartphones on operating systems Android and iOS. In the application function of advanced parent control which allows to create user profiles is available, to filter unwanted content and also to limit on time access of century internet.

According to the statement of the producer, the TP-Link Deco P9 system allows to connect to it up to 100 wireless clients and also is capable to integrate with other Deco models for formation of uniform seamless Mesh-network with uniform the name Wi-fi.

As of February, 2020 the TP-Link Deco P9 mesh-systems (2-pack) and (3-pack) will be available in retail and online stores at the recommended price in 14,990 and 21,990 rubles respectively. Guaranty period for devices – 3 years.
