TaigaPhone is the smartphone equipped with means of counteraction to cyber espionage.

The smartphone is intended only for corporate clients and will extend together with software products of InfoWatch.

2018: Integration with EDMS Case

On September 13, 2018 the InfoWatch company announced completion of tests of the next version of the electronic document management system (EDMS), joint with Electronic Office Systems (EOS) company, Case on the hardware and software system (HSS) InfoWatch Taigaphone for safe work with corporate information on mobile devices.

As noted in InfoWatch, the Taigaphone smartphone is development of the company for protection of the organizations against information leaks via mobile devices and control of processes of use of smartphones in a working environment. InfoWatch Taigaphone is a part of the solution for protection of the organizations against internal threats of information security (DLP system) of InfoWatch Traffic Monitor and includes the protected smartphone and the entrusted firmware based on Android. Sharing of the InfoWatch smartphone and EDMS Case which provides workflow automation of the company and control of execution of instructions and business processes reduces damage probability from leak sensitive for data structure and using mobile applications allows to work with documents and tasks far off from any point.

2017

In the middle of September, 2017 the InfoWatch company officially provided the anti-espionage TaigaPhone smartphone focused on a corporate segment. The producer also announced plans for delivery of 50 thousand devices for a number of the Russian public industries which names do not reveal.^[1]

TaigaPhone is issued in China and represents almost exact copy of the Zopo Color C3 model with the back cover recoloured in green color. The smartphone is equipped with the 5-inch HD screen, the 4-core MediaTek processor, 2 GB of operational and 16 GB of the internal memory, the main camera with a resolution of 8 Megapixels and frontal with a resolution of 4 Megapixels and also the accumulator with a capacity of 1900 mAh.

In TaigaPhone own firmware of InfoWatch based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the system of protection against DLP information leaks is used. Software of InfoWatch does not allow applications to collect user data for sending for a remote server, at the same time gives the chance to create "black" and "white" lists of applications, prohibited or permitted for installation. In case of loss of the device it is possible to erase far off all data which are stored on it.

The LED under the camera on the back serves as the indicator: the red signal notifies on the included dictophone, blue lights up at connection to Bluetooth or wireless network of Wi-fi, and green lights up during a call and in the presence of unread messages.

According to InfoWatch, the price of TaigaPhone will be 12-15 thousand rubles.

2016

The corporate smartphone with protection against leakages of TaigaPhone will come to serial production by the end of summer of 2016, reported in May, 2016 the Life.ru edition with reference to the company executive of InfoWatch Natalya Kasperskaya^[2].

"TaigaPhone is at the last stage of development now. Within two-three months, at the end of summer, we are going to release the first series. It will be small. We expect to receive a feedback from users, we will think after that what to do next" — Kasperskaya told.

TaigaPhone will be issued in China. It will work under control of the modified version of Android. The device will be equipped with additional protection against such threats as interception and date leak.

2015

On February 19, 2015 Taiga LLC announced media an exit of a prototype of the anti-espionage Natalya Kasperskaya's Company smartphone^[3].

— No information from the device — the photo, documents, telephone conversation given about location — will be able "to flow away" without the knowledge of the user — Alexey Nagorny, the cofounder of Taiga claims. — It not the ready-made solution, but the device which is completely made by us — own design, engineering and circuit engineering. Phone will be manufactured in China.

As a firmware the processed Android platform called by founders of Taiga is used. According to Nagorny, it rose cheaper, than creation of own development.

At a firmware it is several protection levels which allow to disconnect or include separate components of a system: to completely switch off access to the camera, position fix, to make of phone the device "for calls". Or only to show who calls. Also access to the microphone is regulated. According to developers, setup is performed by 1-2 buttons.

The possibility of loading of applications from official app store of Google is saved.

The device is equipped with means of the visual alarm for the notification of the user if the application on its phone will try to include the microphone or to send the message.

According to developers, TaigaPhone will be safe in terms of information leaks.

For February 19, 2015 technical characteristics and cost of TaigaPhone are unknown, is announced only: Taiga conducts negotiations with producers of devices concerning installation of a firmware Taiga on smartphones of the third-party companies.

2014

The fact that InfoWatch works on creation of the protected smartphone became known in the fall of 2014. Then Natalya Kasperskaya reported that the device will be intended for business market and to be based on the Android platform.
