2023: Receiving 45 million for the development of a prosthesis
On December 19, 2023, Rostec announced the provision of a grant in the amount of 45 million rubles for the development of a pneumohydraulic prosthetic foot of a person controlled by a processor. The funds were received by TsNITI "Tekhnomash" of the United Instrument-Making Corporation.
According to the press service of Rostec, the prosthesis created by TsNITI Tekhnomash allows you to walk over rough terrain, walk quickly and move comfortably along the stairs. By the end of 2023, such prostheses are supplied to the Russian market mainly from abroad, they are expensive, they have a high cost of service. Russian development is lighter and cheaper than the European counterpart, adapted to the Russian climate and has a more profitable maintenance cost due to the localization of production in Russia, the state corporation said.
The project for the creation of a prosthetic foot, proposed by TsNITI Tekhnomash, was among 13 high-tech developments that will receive financial and expert support from Rostec under the Vector program, Rostec's own business accelerator. The total budget of the program is 230 million rubles.
This is not the first experience of Tekhnomash in the production of rehabilitation products. Starting from 2021, TsNITI has been cooperating with Motorika to manufacture bionic prosthetic arms. Technomash assembles nodes for an INDY bionic hand prosthesis with a single gesture for compression and compression of the hand - part of an INDY prosthesis consisting of an electric motor, drive, gear wheel, metal frame and fingers.
In addition, TsNITI Tekhnomash has mastered the production of nodes for the multi-span Manifesto model, which has a set of unique gestures due to the operation of each finger separately.[1]
