Teradata Unity is the application for maintenance of high availability of users and distribution of workload.
On September 15, 2016 the Teradata company announced readiness of release of the Teradata Unity system.
The company introduced amendments in Unity and expanded intersystem functionality that allowed:
- manage the Teradata systems on all range of hybrid platforms of databases:
- local devices,
- local environment of virtualization,
- the managed cloud
- a public cloud (it is available to the order)
- select separate changes of data in one Teradata system and copy them in other Teradata systems (start is planned for the 1st quarter 2017)
- easy way of initialization of a system that allows to copy all database from one system in another, having created the exact copy which can be used for Dual Active, of disaster recovery, quality control, testing or development (start is planned for the 1st quarter 2017).
