General description

Appointment, general description of functions, functional structure

1 Introduction

This document gives the general description of the TRONIX system for manufacturing enterprise. In process of development and completion of a system the document is constantly updated.

2 Purposes of implementation of TRONIX

2.1 A strategic objective of implementation of TRONIX at the enterprise is production cost reduction, acceleration of speed of construction or repair of the ships and vessels and also reduction of terms of preparation of production, improvement of product quality and, as a result, decrease in cost value, increase arrived also formation of competitive advantages of the enterprise.

2.2 Implementation of technologies of work with use of the uniform electronic description of a product at all stages of preparation of production, production and acceptance of finished goods. The electronic description should become the only source of information on a product – the standard of the enterprise, with a possibility of ensuring data exchange with partners and clients.

2.3 Information support of work of designers and technologists by uniform relevant bases of the normalized conventional components and products, bases of materials, the equipment, tool, consumption rates of materials and labor costs.

2.4 The full-function inventory control providing as storage of the nomenclature with a binding to projects and accounting orders, and "boiler" accounting of often used materials and products.

2.5 Information support of services of the financial and economic block during the developing and control of budgets for separate projects and on the enterprise in general; financial planning and control; financial and managerial analysis.

2.6 Use of typification of design, technology and management processes, automation at their repeated application that allows to save up "knowledge base" of the enterprise and to receive an essential gain of labor productivity in production preparation.

3 General TRONIX functions

The TRONIX system at the present stage is the system of the class MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning) with the ERP elements (Enterprise Resource Planning) and PDM (Product Data Management) of systems specialized under features of the Russian shipbuilding and document flow (ESKD and industry standards).

According to a production cycle of the ship-building enterprise in TRONIX functional modules – the implementing following groups of functions are selected:

3.1 Production preparation

  • acceptance of information from the designer in the electronic structured formats of data
  • management of documents and engineering specification of a product
  • management of the enterprise of electronic archive
  • change management
  • project management
  • management of technology data
  • creation and management of a production and technology network model of construction of the ships and vessels

3.2 Preparation of repair production

  • formation of arrays of RKD at their absence by the repaired ship, the vessel
  • formation of repair sheets and network diagram of repair
  • cost determination of points of the repair sheet and subsequent control

3.3 Planning

  • planning of building slip production (planning of shipyard)
  • planning of small-lot production (medical sanitary station)
  • planning of repair work
  • work planning on TOS and the equipment
  • materials requirement planning and equipment

3.4 Material supply

  • requirements analysis in Inventories on sets of orders and purchase planning
  • Tracking of security of the Inventories plant on each position taking into account existence in the warehouses which are in production, ordered, paid in way, etc.

4 Functions of system modules

The user provides access to the TRONIX resources through the specialized the automated jobs (AJ) - the system modules focused on certain employee groups of the enterprise. Thus, the automated workplace gives to the user this or that set of systems capabilities (functions). This feature set, if necessary, can be changed by administrative units of TRONIX.

TRONIX consists of the following main modules: 4.1 Tronix Catalog

  • management of the normative reference information
  • Qualifier of materials and products

o Support of hierarchy of the qualifier of any degree of enclosure o Layer management of access for users to different branches of the qualifier o Support of full (compound) name of a product or material. An ability to manage structure of the name for each branch of the reference book. o Support of different sets of attributes of the nomenclature for each branch of the qualifier o Management of qualifiers of attributes o Support of the user qualifiers providing fast viewing and search of "the" nomenclature

  • The reference book of materials, purchased products, assemblies, medical sanitary station (products on the depersonalized, front and project drawings), the equipment, tools and the industrial equipment

5 Principles of creation of TRONIX

In a system the following software and methodical solutions are used:

  • all data which collect and used in TRONIX are stored in the single database organized by means of the Oracle DataBase database management system;
  • role access control to data and applications (change of the automated workplace functions according to requirements of user groups);
  • technology the client/server or three-unit architecture with the application server and the Web interface;

  • graphic user interface;
  • an open data structure and exchange protocols with external systems;
