The opening ceremony was held with the participation of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov Mayor Moscow Sergey Sobyanin and Corporate Development Advisor. Yandex Alexey Kudrin

According to Sergei Sobyanin, the capital's Moskvich automobile plant has completed the transformation stage into a high-tech cluster focused on the production of electric and hybrid cars. Denis Manturov pointed out that the launch of production is the result of cooperation between the state and business. He noted the growing demand for electric vehicles and cited as an example the recently opened shipyard in Moscow for the production of electric ships. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Yandex acted as a technological partner of the project, integrating AI elements, navigation systems and multimedia services into cars.

The new UMO 5 electric car is a five-seater crossover. The design provides increased legroom for passengers sitting in the back, and the luggage compartment exceeds 400 liters. The rear doors open 90 degrees, which makes it easier to land. In taxi companies, the car will be operated in the Comfort + segment.

The technical characteristics of UMO 5 are adapted for operation in the Russian climate. The range on one charge in winter is up to 350 km, and in summer - up to 420 km. The car is equipped with a Russian-language voice assistant "Alice" from "Yandex," which is responsible for control.[1]
