2024: Start of Sales

On December 12, 2024, it became known that GLONASS JSC began selling a new generation of emergency call devices (UVEOS 2.0), which allow you to track the location of the car in case of theft and control the operation of its units.

According to RIA Novosti, more than 11 million vehicles are connected to the ERA-GLONASS state information system. The previous generation of devices provided only the transfer of coordinates and characteristics of the machine to emergency services in an accident.

General Director of GLONASS JSC Alexei Raikevich said that the introduction of a new service platform based on ERA-GLONASS will significantly increase the level of safety and comfort of millions of drivers and passengers. In the future, the company plans to expand the range of services provided.

The press service of the company reported that the new version of UVEOS provides owners with the ability to monitor the location of vehicles in real time and control the parameters of the car units.

Vladimir Makarenko, Development Director of the UVEOS 2.0 manufacturer Fort Telecom, noted that new generation devices benefit not only from road accidents, but also from everyday use. Owners of transport with installed terminals "Fort Telecom" to gain access to new functions, it is enough to update the software.

The first in Russia updated devices will be introduced by the official distributor of Chinese truck Sany company "One Group." The agreement on the launch of the platform was signed by the general director of GLONASS JSC Alexei Raikevich, the development director of Fort Telecom Vladimir Makarenko and the general director of One Group Leonid Tkachik at the Comtrans 2024 exhibition in Moscow.[1]
