Russian Navigation Technologies (RNT) announced in November 2011 the completion of the development of an automobile terminal intended for use in the ERA GLONASS project (a domestic emergency response system for accidents based on the use of global satellite navigation and GLONASS satellite monitoring systems). transport

After confirming the compliance of the RNT development with the ERA GLONASS requirements, the company will begin cooperation in this area with car plants, join the participation in the relevant tenders, and also launch mass production of terminals.
Note that in the new development of the RNT, not only all the basic functions that any ERA GLONASS terminal should support are implemented, but also a number of additional features (for example, a built-in slot for an additional SIM card, radio coverage technology for wireless connection of sensors or the original technology of non-destructive reading of data from the on-board CAN bus).
