Since entering the market a little over a year ago, more than 40 thousand licenses of the Uncom OS operating system based on Ubuntu OS have been sold, and the product has begun expansion abroad. The company claims that in 2023, in terms of the number of sold Uncom OS licenses in retail among private users, they were ahead of their Russian competitors. Advilabs-Rus came to this conclusion by analyzing sales in retail chains such as Megafon, M.Video, Eldorado, etc. - a total of more than 60 chains. It is the main sales channel of Uncom OS. The company says that of the large networks, they are not only in Citylink.

In addition to private users, Uncom OS is used in small and medium-sized enterprises: in schools, medical institutions, small stores. For example, Advilabs-Rus software is installed in medical institutions in St. Petersburg, schools in Krasnodar, Cheboksary, etc. Uncom OS is included in the register of Russian software. Uncom OS is not focused on client segments, where the OS is subject to increased requirements in terms of certification, entry into special lists, and so on.

The OS can be purchased by anyone as a separate product. Also recently, Advilabs-Rus became a partner of the company Force"" (more) here , which made it possible for corporate customers to order laptops of the same name with pre-installed Uncom OS. Similar partnerships were concluded with the Russian «F+ Tech» and Belarusian Horizon (MPOVT).

The cost of a standard license for home use is 3,990, rubles a business key without special conditions - 5,990 rubles. With a large purchase and with signing SLA , the license can cost 6,990 rubles with a dedicated support line during working hours, with a round-the-clock dedicated support line up to 14,990 rubles.

The developers claim that their OS supports a larger range of hardware than the original Ubuntu OS, including Honor, Rombica, the new Lenovo V15 G4 and many mainly Chinese and Russian-made equipment.

After installation, the OS is ready for operation and contains pre-installed software that allows you to solve the main problems out of the box. In case of something more specific, there is a store in which almost 70 thousand applications, most of them are free.

Advilabs-Rus told TAdviser that a large update to Uncom OS is planned for the near future. At the beginning of 2024, the visual image was significantly improved, and changes "under the hood" were ahead: updating the kernel and libraries to the kernel (6.6), which in the next four years will become the standard for the industry, the company says. Also in the plans to develop its OS in the field of artificial intelligence. In addition, the company will develop a variety of functions and additional services within the OS.

In general, 2024 for us is marked by the development of business sales, an increase in the size of customers and, of course, access to international markets. For us, friendly countries that are ready for cooperation are a priority. We are working on access to the Middle East. In addition to Russia, Uncom OS is officially presented in Belarus and Kazakhstan. At the same time, the company claims that the geography of their users is already much wider.

Unexpectedly, we discovered that we were already selling in Vietnam, Morocco, Turkey... In these countries, enterprising sellers "got" the keys in Russia and resold licenses at local sites like Avito, and users in a variety of languages ​ ​ began to turn to our support, they say in Advilabs-Rus. - The geography of activation of Uncom OS license keys for 2023 exceeded 50 countries. We do not collect user data, but we see from which IPs go to servers for updates and to the app store.

As of March 2024, the Advilabs-Rus team has more than 20 people who are constantly working on improving Uncom OS, the company told TAdviser. If necessary, additional specialists are involved for specialized tasks. Most of the employees live and work in Moscow, but there are also those who work in the team from Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg and other cities.
