On April 27, 2023, UserGate announced the release of version 7.0 of its own operating system for components of the UserGate SUMMA ecosystem, including UserGate NGFW - next-generation firewalls.

As reported, simultaneously with the release of version 7.0 of the UserGate operating system, the start of sales of the S150 expected by users is officially announced, this event is one of the key in the release. The platform is intended for large companies with an extensive branch network, small and medium-sized businesses, medical institutions, retail chains, industrial enterprises.

UG OS 7.0 is a completely redesigned version of the UserGate operating system, focused on high-load network services, expanding the arsenal of user security features. The release includes options that optimize the flexibility of infrastructure management: administrators will receive additional tools - including the ability to create their own signatures, companies as a whole - the ability to control their network and information within it. In addition, the code has been improved and the flaws that were discovered during the time since the release of the previous version have been fixed.

UG OS 7.0.0RC Output for UserGate SUMMA Ecosystem Components

On September 1, 2022, UserGate announced the release of UG OS version 7.0.0RC (Release Candidate) for components of the UserGate SUMMA ecosystem. This is a completely redesigned version of the UserGate operating system, focused on high-load network services. Cross-platform with UserGate hardware ARM devices will provide support for hardware platforms based on the ARM processors UserGate C150, UserGate X10 and subsequent releases of the company.

Version 7.0 UG OS will significantly expand the arsenal of UserGate user security features. First of all, this is an updated COB/IDPS engine for NGFW, which has increased performance, and which includes the ability to create your own signatures. Among the important updates, there is expanded functionality for diagnosing, monitoring and searching for vulnerabilities, as well as recording traffic in any direction. The functions of working with SSL traffic were added by sending decrypted traffic to external servers and checking decrypted SSL traffic using the COB/IDPS engine.

Updates for UserGate Log Analyzer will allow you to fully implement the SIEM function within the UserGate SUMMA ecosystem. By accumulating data from various sources (sensors), LogAn will aggregate and correlate events and create security incidents, and the established rules will automatically determine how to respond to them. The added IRP (Incident Response Platform) functionality for UserGate LogAn will allow you to customize the process of investigating information security incidents to suit the individual needs of the customer.

The list of updates for LogAn also adds the ability to integrate with STATE SYSTEM OF DETECTION, PREVENTION AND ELIMINATION OF CONSEQUENCES OF COMPUTER ATTACKS to automatically send information about cybersecurity incidents and create multi-level reports (drilldowns) in logs and dashboards.
