2022: Start of production of modular medical complex

On November 29, 2022, Rostec announced the development and start of production of a hybrid medical complex for minimally invasive operations. This project is being implemented by VNII Vega (part of the Avtomatika concern of the Roselectronics holding, which in turn is part of Rostec).

According to the press service of Rostec, a feature of the new equipment is that all units - ultrasonic, endoscopic, surgical - are included in a common system with a single control panel. The modular design allows you to select devices for the needs of the customer and a specific specialist, which ultimately costs less than purchasing different devices separately.

In the Russian Federation, the production of a modular medical complex for minimally invasive surgery has begun

The complex combines a radio wave surgical apparatus, a diode laser two-wave coagulator unit, an ultrasonic scanning unit with color Doppler mapping, an ultrasonic Doppler unit, an endovideo system unit and a single control panel with special software on one medical stand. The complex can be used in gynecology, proctology and urology, as well as in the examination of veins, removal of neoplasms on the skin and the treatment of ENT diseases.

According to the executive director of Rostec Oleg Yevtushenko, the combination of surgical and diagnostic devices on one rack helps the specialist to quickly perform the necessary manipulations, and the modularity of the design allows you to choose the necessary configuration of the complex for the specific tasks of the clinic and the surgeon.

The production of high-tech medical equipment is one of the most promising areas of Rostec's activities. By creating a new medical complex for minimally invasive surgery, we are in constant contact with doctors, taking into account their comments and wishes in terms of ergonomics and module pairing, he added.[1]
