According to RBC, during the launch ceremony, the ship was consecrated. Victoria Gavrilova, the daughter of the sea captain and honorary worker of the Russian fisheries, Viktor Gavrilov, whose name was given to the trawler, smashed a bottle of champagne on board.
The construction of the vessel of the 5670FT project began in 2019. Fore and aft thrusters, valolinium are already installed on the trawler, large-sized equipment is immersed. The plant's specialists checked the premises for constructiveness and installed bottom-side fittings.
The trawler "Victor Gavrilov" is intended for fishing for pelagic fish species in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. The vessel is capable of working autonomously for up to 90 days outside the economic zone of Russia. On board will be a factory for the production of finished canned food, fish oil, flour, as well as a site for cutting and packaging fish. The crew of the trawler will be 148 people.
Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Kaliningrad Region Andrei Kropotkin emphasized the importance of this event for the region. According to him, launching the largest freezing trawler in Russia demonstrates a high level of development of industrial production in the Kaliningrad region.
The Legislative Assembly of the region actively interacts with the executive branch to develop the regional economy. The implementation of such projects contributes to strengthening the position of the Kaliningrad region as a center of modern shipbuilding.
The launch of the Viktor Gavrilov trawler will be an important stage in the development of the domestic fishing fleet. The new vessel will increase the volume of fish extraction and processing in the Far Eastern region, which will contribute to the development of the fishing industry in Russia.[1]
