2025: Product Announcement
In April 2025, it became known that teachers and cadets of the Volsky branch of the Military Academy of Logistics named after Army General A.V. Khrulev, together with the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant, developed the Volchanin ground logistics drone for delivering ammunition, feeding and evacuating the wounded from the front line. The first four platforms have already been manufactured and are being tested in the zone of a special military operation.
According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, an unmanned vehicle was created in order to minimize the presence of personnel on the combat contact line. The main task of the development is to ensure uninterrupted supply of units located immediately before the enemy.
InThe Volchanin ground drone is a 600-kilogram platform equipped with the Korshun digital control system. The robot has a range of up to 30 kilometers and is capable of carrying up to 950 kilograms of cargo when using a complete trailer. The unmanned vehicles are powered by 16 kW/h batteries, and the built-in gasoline generator allows you to work offline for a long time.
Dmitry Gorin, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Logistics Services, explained that the range of the complex is limited by a radio missile - at a distance of more than 10 kilometers there is a risk of losing control of the drone. At the same time, the radio channel of the device has high noise immunity due to a special type of communication - a floating frequency of signal transmission in the range of 1.5 gigahertz.
To control the platform, a digital system is used through a remote antenna or a repeater drone. According to the developers, ensuring the stable operation of the repeater drone has become one of the most difficult stages in the creation of the complex. To solve this problem, the team developed special software and an automatic antenna with rotation. Power is provided via cable from the ground, which allows you to keep the drone in the air around the clock in all weather conditions.[1]
