On September 4, 2020 the Western Digital company submitted the platform of security ArmorLock and NVMe SSD drives with enciphering.

NVMe SSD drives with enciphering of ArmorLock provide the speed of a read and write to 1000 MB/s through USB- SuperSpeed port of 10 Gbps. With the help applications ArmorLock users can unblock remotely the device with the help phone, using recognition persons, on a fingerprint or with the help the code -password from phone, so the lost password will not become the reason of failure to meet time constraints of commissioning of the project any more. The SSD drive provides enciphering, without breaking at the same time working processes - for joint work now it is not necessary to enter PIN code to a disk.
Besides, mobile and the ArmorLock desktop applications give the chance to network administrators to configure and manage a large number of disks and a great number of users, controlling their access rights. The security level of the next generation implemented in ArmorLock devices gives to the working groups the chance to authorize remote users prior to sharing of disks, using messengers and services of e-mail; such functionality is especially important at simultaneous operation over the project of several commands and need to ensure safety of content at its transportation between locations.
