Angie 1.4.0 with HTTP/3 support
Web Server released an updated version of the Russian open source web server Angie 1.4.0 on December 12, 2023. As part of the updates, support for the HTTP/3 protocol for connections to proxy servers was added.
Thus, to the existing support for HTTP/3 on the client connection side, a similar in ideology, but independently configurable proxying functionality is now added. In particular, this allows you to work more efficiently in situations where a server using HTTP/3 is accessed through Angie by clients using HTTP/1.1 or HTTP/2, which ultimately increases the versatility of the solution, for example, compared to scenarios for end-to-end proxying of a client-dictated protocol.
In addition, a gradual load increase mode has been implemented on proxied servers recovering from a failure, which makes it possible to smoothly return them to operation within a given interval. Directives have also appeared to restrict MP4 streaming in order to reduce the burden on the server infrastructure.
Balancing support for the MQTT protocol, popular in IoT solutions, has been improved. The next replenishment has been released in the package collection - a third-party auth-ldap module that adds LDAP authentication with support for several servers. Other packages with third-party modules have been updated, as well as the Console Light version.
A little earlier, the Console Light source code was opened, an integration module with ModSecurity, a popular WAF tool for protecting websites from cyber attacks, was added to the packages, and support for the ROSA Chrome system was certified and packages were released for it.
To include a link to a list of configuration files
The Angie Console Light visual interface includes a link to the list of configuration files loaded on the server. The contents of each file can be viewed in a compact, syntax-highlighted view (About - Configs widget). This was announced on November 17, 2023 by the Web Server company.
A feature of the console is the display of real-time metrics for a specific instance of the web server. The page is updated with some frequency, which the user can configure on his own.
The demo version of Angie Console Light is available at. For a detailed description of the tabs and the metrics collected there, see the documentation section of the[1] link.

Angie 1.3.0 with support for multiple query URI mapping patterns for the same configuration context

One of the main additions is the support of multiple query URI mapping patterns for the same configuration context ("location" directive). This reduces the amount of configuration and the likelihood of user errors. Also in this version of Angie there are statistics in the Prometheus format, which simplifies the construction of monitoring systems in a modern infrastructure.
Other notable changes include:
- Versioning individual web server process configurations to facilitate monitoring, troubleshooting, and troubleshooting tasks
- the ability to obtain the current server configuration through. HTTP API
Finally, two changes that were previously added to Angie 1.1.0 for HTTP only are now available in the context of streaming data ("stream" module):
- statistics for proxied servers, which expands the coverage of Angie functionality with metrics;
- dynamic adaptation of the list of addresses of proxied servers to changes in DNS, taking into account SRV records, which allows you to scale services faster and change settings without overusing resources.
