WorldEvolution

The product World Evolution is based on comparison of the space pictures of all Earth's surface which are saved up from 1980th till present. Their comparison allows to estimate dynamics of many processes going for decades: industrial and housing construction, forestry and landscape activity, mastering of farmlands and territories of mineral extraction, development of transport infrastructure.

The product contains information on all territory of Russia and shows changes of a spatial social and economic pattern of the country for the period to 2000-2014 of World Evolution is created by formation of composites occurring at different times of space pictures with the subsequent automatic classification of changes on types and the automated formation of vector electron cartographic layers.

The scale of a covering is 1:50 a.m. 000 – 1:100,000.

Structure of the product World Evolution

• A mosaic of space pictures of Landsat-8 for 2013-2014 in natural flowers, spatial resolution — 15 m; a scope — all territory of the Russian Federation. Scale 1:100,000.
• A mosaic of space pictures of Landsat-7 for 2000-2001 in natural flowers, spatial resolution — 15 m; a scope — all territory of the Russian Federation Scale 1:100,000.
• A mosaic of space pictures of RapidEye for 2013-2014 spatial resolution — 5 m, a scope — partially (the selective regions of the Russian Federation). Scale 1:50 a.m. 000.
• Vector cartographic layers with division on object types. In total — 38 types of vulgar and 5 types of linear objects. All objects which arose with 2000 (1999–2003) by 2014 (2013–2014) are displayed.

The cartographic layers which are a part of the product World Evolution and types of the monitored changes

• Changes in forest fund: the arising cuttings, forest roads.
• Changes in borders of territories of agricultural land use. The sections involved in agricultural turnover, brought out of agricultural turnover, the farmlands growing with wood vegetation, which again appeared and the disappeared infrastructure facilities of livestock production and crop production
• Again appeared objects of subsurface use and other changes in the mining industry: the beginning of development, expansion or an output from use and recultivation of large pits, cuts, dumps, waste heaps, etc., construction, commissioning or an output from use and recultivation of infrastructure facilities of hydrocarbon production (well pads, floating platforms, objects of oil refining and gas, the road, intra-field pipelines, etc.).
• Objects of new large-scale industrial construction: construction, commissioning, expansion or dismantling of large industrial facilities: plants, factories, etc.
• Objects of new large-scale construction of transport infrastructure: again appearing and reconstructed, the railroads, large highways, trunk pipelines, the airports, ports, terminals, logistic parks, warehouses, etc.
• Military construction: construction new and expansion of the existing military bases, large defensive works, shaft, obstacles.
• Housing construction and town planning: emergence of new areas of multi-storey and low building, destruction and degradation of localities as a result of wars, natural cataclysms, etc.
• Natural and ecological changes of territories: desertification, obezlesivany, erosive processes, long dynamics of hydrographic objects, thawing of glaciers, the woods which are taken place the fires, windfalls, the died plantings, etc.; expansion of territories due to dumping of coastal water areas of the World Ocean

Development plans

The product will be complemented with new materials of changes of the territory of scale 1:10 a.m. 000 – 1:25 a.m. 000, received according to space shooting of high resolution and also new cartographic layers.

New vector layers will allow to receive answers to a number of questions:

• how many territories in the preset area are built up in 15 years;
• whether construction of highways was conducted in this territory;
• whether there is demand for agricultural grounds in the preset area;
• whether there are new major industrial projects;
• how far there are new customs terminals from the area necessary to you;
• land assets are how underestimated.

The product World Evolution can be applied for forecasting of places of new industrial construction, assessment of perspective demand for farmlands, comparisons of efficiency of industrial productions in different areas and many other problems of territorial development of economy.
