2025: Product Announcement

On March 3, 2025, Xpanceo introduced augmented reality (AR) smart contact lenses. The device is equipped with a micro-display for displaying useful information that is superimposed on objects in the real world.

Xpanceo lenses, depending on the modification and purpose, can have different functionality. In particular, wireless power transmission technology can be implemented to power components in the gadget. At the same time, according to the developer, the lenses remain flexible, light and absolutely safe to wear.

Smart contact lenses with augmented reality are presented. They measure intraocular pressure and treat diseases

The novelty can also be equipped with biosensors to measure vital signs of the body based on the analysis of tear fluid. This eliminates the need to draw blood. With the help of lenses, parameters such as glucose and hormone levels can be constantly monitored. The device may also be equipped with an intraocular pressure sensor. This version of the product can be used for the treatment of glaucoma - eye diseases characterized by a constant or periodic increase in intraocular pressure above an acceptable value, followed by a decrease in visual acuity and the development of other negative phenomena, including possible atrophy of the optic nerve. Biosensor lenses are expected to take the process of personal health monitoring to the next level.

Users will be able to interact with AR lenses using intuitive commands with a glance. In the future, the capabilities of the gadget are planned to be expanded: functions such as night vision and zoom are mentioned. The integrated wireless antenna will allow real-time transmission of data from contact lenses to a companion mobile device.[1]
