2022: Launch of the logistics platform "Highway" in Kazakhstan
On November 30, 2022, Yandex Delivery announced that it was scaling the Mainline logistics platform in the EAEU. The first EAEU country for which the service is localized was Kazakhstan. Now not only Russian, but also Kazakhstani shippers and transport companies can work on the platform. With the help of the service, you can organize both domestic and cross-border cargo transportation, as well as find cargo for the return flight. Yandex creates an IT infrastructure for trunk transportation with uniform standards and services in Russia and the EAEU. With the help of the logistics platform "Highway" it is possible to organize cross-border transportation, transportation of goods between cities and intracity delivery.
Yandex Delivery launched Highways in Russia in the spring of 2022, and has now opened access to the platform to shippers and transport companies from Kazakhstan. In 2023, Yandex plans to localize the service for other EAEU countries. The demand for transportation between the EAEU countries is growing: business is building supply chains and expanding cooperation with nearby countries.
Kazakhstani companies will be able to manage the entire logistics process on the Highway platform - from finding the contractor insurance and cargo to receiving documents and payment. Shippers from Kazakhstan can find performers on the platform. The service has already been adapted for the Kazakh market: the address database has been updated, the input forms and have been adapted state car registration numbers. data drivers
In addition to automation of logistics management for shippers and cargo carriers, the Highway solves one of the important market problems - improving the efficiency of the return flight. Traditionally, carriers have to lose up to a third of their income on the return flight.
Digitalization of logistics solves this problem - it helps to make business tariffs more transparent and at the same time increases driver income. In turn, income growth will allow attracting other carriers to the market, which are sorely lacking, noted Yandex Delivery Business Development Director, Alexei Fedotov.
