Zecurion SWG (Secure Web Gateway) as the proxy server controls access for employees to web resources and analyzes the traffic transferred under different protocols.

Zecurion SWG 2.0
On October 3, 2018 the Zecurion company announced release of the next version of the gateway of security (Secure Web Gateway, SWG) with the updated web interface, the increased traffic processing speed, the complemented bases for URL filtering and the built-in module of an intrusion prevention.
According to the statement of the developer, significant speeding up and efficiency of Zecurion SWG on large volumes of traffic became one of key improvements of version 2.0. It managed to achieve due to complete processing of architecture and use of modern technologies of operation of proxy servers. Thanks to what the full-function Zecurion SWG proxy server processes traffic with a speed up to 10 Gbps.
Transition to a management console web-based graphical user interface in uniform Zecurion style became one more change in SWG 2.0, according to the developer. On the starting screen of the console there was a set of widgets in which key information on a status of protection of network, events and incidents and also data on the broken security policies is concentrated. If in the organization other products Zecurion are already used, for example, DLP or PAM, their events and warnings are fixed in uniform with SWG base and can be available to the administrator to receiving a complete picture of corporate security. Also especially for Zecurion SWG the preset reports are added.
As emphasized in Zecurion, the functionality of a system was replenished with own module of detection and an intrusion prevention (IDS/IPS) providing reliable protection against different types of network attacks. For identification of potentially dangerous actions a system uses the heuristic analysis and more than 10 million signatures of the known attacks. When detecting threat Zecurion SWG notifies the security officer on suspicious activity, and all information on attempts of invasion is fixed in the separate event list.
Support DBMS PostgreSQL and 17 additional categories internet- resources in base of content filtering became additional opportunities in the second version of SWG. A system allows to configure flexible rules of access on the basis IP- the addresses, URL, categories of a resource protocol, a key word and other criteria, the developer claims.
Inclusion in the Register of the Russian software
On August 22, 2018 Zecurion company announced that the Ministry of digital development, communication and mass communications published the order on inclusion in the register of domestic software of the solution Zecurion SWG — an enterprise-product for the analysis of traffic and access control of employees to web resources. As result, the state customers can purchase Zecurion SWG within purchases according to the import substitution program now.
Appointment and opportunities
Zecurion SWG is intended for control of visits of the websites and use of web applications. A system provides high-precision filtering of web resources — for August, 2018 the database of the solution contains more than 500 million URL and more than 100 categories of the websites, including dangerous or unwanted. Also a system carries out using special technologies morphological analysis on existence of words and phrases. All parameters of requests remain in a data archive and further can be browsed, filtered and analyzed using the web interface.
A system blocks confidential data transmission at joint work with Zecurion DLP. Systems in a sheaf analyze contents of the sent messages and files regarding existence in them of confidential data, and in case of detection of violation of security policies block data transmission.
Zecurion SWG allows to solve the following problems:
- control of use of the Internet, including social networks;
- protection of corporate network against external access;
- fall forward of access to web resources;
- decrease in load of network equipment.
