The communications system of ZyXEL X8004 implements in one compact device all functions traditional and the IP PBX, contact center and call center, IVR and a call recording, the fax server, sending mail, SMS and IM messages. Key innovations of universal communications system of the IP telephony of ZyXEL X8004 - fast visual setup of a telephone network of the enterprise and scenarios of processing of telephone calls, the built-in SQL server, convenient integration into external databases and information systems, applications of computer-integrated telephony and business processes of the enterprise.


ZyXEL X8004 is based on industrial x86 platform, executed in the metal body 2U high for installation in a 19-inch rack, designed and tested for work in the conditions of 24x7. The system of excess ventilation and function of monitoring of the hardware and a status of separate components (including hard drives) guarantee smooth operation. For connection to network infrastructure of the enterprise and a global network two ports Gigabit Ethernet are provided. For work with networks of traditional telephony in ZyXEL X8004 it can be installed up to four trunk modules with the FXS, FXO or E1 interfaces.

The microprogram of ZyXEL X8004 integrates proprietary and open modules in a whole and provides management of all functions of the device. Visual programming of network of telephony and scenarios of call processing (with use to 55 components of a type "connection setup", "a request of SQL", "pick up the phone", "send/receive e-mail", etc.) completely lifts the limits of traditional IP PBXs connected with the preconfigured logic and allows to optimize work telephone and IT networks under any business processes.

The uniform principles of access to different external communication resources implemented in X8004 allow to share any methods of communication (a voice, mail, video, IM chats, the fax, external applications) and to create powerful contact centers with support to 64 simultaneous connections with operators within more than 15 projects.

Fast integration with enterprise information systems through the COM objects implementing telephone modules for a wide number of systems (1C: The enterprise, Terrasoft CRM, Axapta, SAP R3, etc.), allows to perform in real time routing of calls (using CallerID, the network status of Presence operators, history of clients), to display information on the arriving call, the client and his orders directly on the computer of the operator.

A system gives an opportunity of mass telephone call-down with informing clients by the operator, group of operators or in the automatic mode. Progressive and predictive methods of implementation of calls minimize waiting time of connection with subscribers.

In a basic complete set of ZyXEL X8004 implements record of all or only a selective talk, at the same time each user can get access to the talk for refining of these or those events and obligations to clients. On the built-in hard drive till 48,000 o'clock a talk (the GSM codec, the maximum compression) can be stored. The CTI ZyXEL software client set on computers of users is included in the delivery of communications system of ZyXEL X8004.

It implements functionality of the program videophone (SIP 2.0, H.263), a binding traditional and SIP telephones to computers of employees, access to address directories and operational information about calls and their history, allows to accept and perform calls from desktop phone or from the computer via the user-friendly graphical interface.

Functional features of Communications system of ZyXEL X8004:

  • Conference communication (up to 196 participants at at most 64 conferences);
  • Calls back and voice mail;
  • The built-in fax server with sending and acceptance of faxes in the manual and automatic mode on telephone lines, SIP protocols or e-mail;
  • Sending reports and notifications on the new and passed calls and events by e-mail, the SMS and ICQ/Jabber (the notification of employees, remote administration, etc.);
  • The built-in SQL server with settings, statistics and a current status of a system, external applications, available to the analysis;
  • Integration with external systems through HTTP/XML with a possibility of analysis of parameters, information exchange with external databases and applications using SQL queries and/or ADO, OLE, ODBC mechanisms;
  • The integrated firewall considerably simplifying setup of the IP telephony applications;
  • Protection against SIP scanners and unauthorized access on IP.
