The modernization covered two buildings of the Gamma hotel complex, converted into student dormitories with a total area of ​ ​ more than 8,000 square meters. m. Students faced interruptions in connection, a decrease in speed during peak hours and the presence of "dead zones," which directly affected the ability to participate in online classes and the use of educational platforms.

Eltex offered a comprehensive solution based on Wi-Fi 6 access points - WEP-3ax, MES2424P access switches and SoftWLC software controller for centralized wireless network management. The integrator introduced equipment taking into account the peculiarities of the chassis layout and high user density, which made it possible to create a predictable and controlled wireless environment.

When designing such objects, it is important to take into account not only the current number of users, but also the prospective increase in load. The use of Wi-Fi 6 access points with MU-MIMO support made it possible to provide the necessary network capacity, "said Pavel Klepikov, Deputy Head of Wi-Fi Eltex Sales Department.

As a result of the project, on the territory of the Sirius hostels, stable Wi-Fi operation was ensured on all floors and sections of buildings and sufficient coverage density was ensured, and a user authorization service was implemented.

It was fundamentally important for us to ensure uniform coverage in all residential areas and stable network operation during peak hours. Students actively use digital educational services, participate in online classes and video conferencing, so the infrastructure must withstand a high density of connections. As a result of the modernization, we received a managed and scalable Wi-Fi network with predicted characteristics and a margin for performance, - said Stanislav Falaleev, head of infrastructure projects at ANOO HE "University of Sirius."

The collaboration of Eltex and the Talent and Success Foundation has created a federal Wi-Fi infrastructure ready for further expansion and transition to next-generation solutions.
