"A-software" took out IT infrastructure in "cloud"

On August 12, 2015 the Softline company announced the organization of a cloud hosting for A-soft company on the ActiveCloud platform.

Project Tasks

Growth of business and new professional tasks demanded from developers of A-soft company of performance improvement of the used IT systems. In search of the effective and economic solution "A-software" asked for the help Softline. Having received terms of reference specialists of the company offered "A-software" the complex project of placement of IT infrastructure in "cloud". It was supposed that such transition will help:

• to quickly develop computing powers for needs of developers;
• control use of resources;
• reduce finance costs by the content of services.

Softline placed IT infrastructure of A-soft company in ActiveCloud "cloud".

During the course of performance the project ready IT infrastructure in "cloud" of ActiveCloud is provided to the customer and virtual machines on the basis of Linux OS are turned. On them specialists "A-software" unrolled all necessary for operation of application among which the tool for maintaining projects – Jira and specialized service for joint work of programmers - GitLab.

Migration of mail services of the customer is carried out to "cloud" on the Microsoft Exchange Server platform. After that all business services of the organization are integrated with the ActiveDirectory directory.

Project Results

Transition to cloud computing helped the customer to increase performance of IT services, to optimize infrastructure housekeeping overheads.

Transfer of infrastructure to "cloud" not only provided developers with necessary infrastructure, and all other employees - comfortable work with mail, but also gave an opportunity to uniform authentication of users on all platforms used in work. It considerably increased controllability of infrastructure and availability of IT services. The fault tolerance of the systems of the customer was provided using a cloud platform of ActiveCloud. Thus it was succeeded to minimize a possibility of violation of operation of applications.

For "A-software" the round-the-clock access to business data and applications from any geographical point and from any device - with observance of safety conditions and confidentiality is organized. At the same time the company minimized IT infrastructure maintenance costs – it was not required to rent or buy the server hardware.
