"Maple" increases competitiveness using effective management of IT assets

The Softline company announced on April 23, 2018 carrying out the overview of program assets of Klyon group on methodology of SAM. Specialists showed to the customer how to define the most perspective directions of development of IT infrastructure, to lower on a third of costs for its service and to increase personnel labor productivity by 40%.

To estimate a condition of program assets at the companies, management efficiency of them and influence of these factors on business processes, the IT management of Klyon Group decided to carry out the SAM project, the partner in which selected Softline.

The command of Softline carried out the overview of program assets to Klyon Group at which PC more than 530 and 80 servers. Klyon Group rented licenses according to the program Microsoft SPLA. For respect for balance in licensing of software Microsoft it was recommended to customer to pass to the agreement Enterprise Agreement Subscription (EAS) with a possibility of standardization of all park of computers based on cloud the platform. Its use will allow to increase productivity of work of personnel and top management by 20-40%. Specialists of Softline analyzed the customer's infrastructure on competences SAM Cybersecurity. To increase control level cyber security, experts recommended solutions Advanced Threat Protection or Exchange Online Protection. They will help to protect infrastructure of the company from undesirable mail and malware.

On analysis results of servers to group advised to consolidate loads of the equipment and to use the licensing options providing the maximum virtualization. It will allow to reduce costs for hardware-software providing, engineering infrastructure, electric power approximately by 30%. Besides, the necessary capacity and scalability of servers and disk subsystems will be provided at any moment.
