2019: Delivery of a power distribution system

On December 10, 2019 the ABB company announced delivery of a digital power distribution system for the Pavlovsk woodworking plant entering into LHK "Altayles". Monitoring and processing of measurements are made in the EDCS system (Electrical Distribution Control System) from the ABB Ability portfolio.

ABB Ability EDCS

Delivery also included the low-voltage equipment for power supply of the Pavlovsk DOCK: six power DBU cabinets on voltage of 0.4 kV and 0.69 kV. The monitoring system of ABB Ability EDCS, according to the arrangement with the customer, was installed on input devices. Such solution allows to control electricity consumption on production and to regulate it depending on the current production tasks.

Implementation of ABB Ability EDCS on the Pavlovsk DOCK became the first Russian AVV project of this sort among the final customer. Earlier the solution in the test mode was used at the AVV Lipetsk plant. Specialists of the company could study completely functionality of a product afterwards to propose to the customer the final solution. As a result the AVV enterprise had a number of opportunities for operating control of electricity consumption by the different equipment, set on production and at office.

Pavlovsk DOK

The Pavlovsk DOK is the enterprise which was under construction "from scratch" therefore in the course of balancing and commissioning the team of engineers of AVV carried out training intensiv for the staff of plant. For December, 2019 a system is started and works in the stable mode, and specialists of the AVV service center render online support to a digital product.

Digitalization is not a whim of hardware companies, but our realities therefore perspectives of any digital systems are boundless. Our system allows to receive a ready-made product without capital costs that is very convenient for final customers. Should be internally ready to digital transformation of the enterprise, and AVV company has the developed technologies which can be built in for a short time frame production processes of the enterprises,
told Alexander Prudnikov, the head of Elektrooborudovaniye business division of ABB in Russia

As a result of cooperation with AVV company our enterprise became one of the country's first, got access to high-tech monitoring systems and managements of consumption and distribution of electrical energy. A system in itself allows to control a power supply status practically from any place in the world where there is an access to a global network that is big help in the organization of work of service staff. Shell programs which were configured by specialists of AVV for our enterprise allow in a simple intuitive form to work with the data arrays arriving directly from the time cut-outs installed in DBU. An important factor is also continued technical support of engineers of AVV in case of any questions. Implementation of these technologies on industrial enterprises is a big step for an exception of risks of emergence non-staff situations in power supply,
noted Vitaly Sysoyev, the Pavlovsky DOC'S power engineering specialist
