Rostelecom in Beslan connected inhabitants of low rise houses to the high-speed Internet

On October 10, 2017 the Rostelecom company announced completion of works on project implementation "Optics to the house" in the third largest city of North Ossetia the regional center of Beslan. According to the operator, the optical communications infrastructure based on GPON technology (Gigabit passive optical network) is created there.

Capacity of an optical network allows to connect a complex of telecommunication services at once. Packets as a part of high-speed Internet access at a speed up to 100 Mbps, SIP telephony and digital interactive television are developed for residents of areas with low building. The service allows to watch Interactive TV more than 220 digital and HD channels, including local programs of State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company Alania. Also subscribers can use additional services: Management of viewing, Multiskrin, Video hire shop, Karaoke.

Rostelecom in the republic actively is engaged in development of the most advanced technology of a pay TV — Interactive TV which uses network of broadband access for delivery of TV - and video content. And this product should be available to all, including residents of small settlements. These are four of eight regional centers of North Ossetia. In the short term we are going to expand geography of the project and to include in it other areas of the republic, considering high demand on service.
