Tele2 is going to aim 524 million rubles at the development of cellular infrastructure of the Ivanovo region

On February 14, 2019 Tele2 announced conclusion of an agreement about interaction in the field of development of services of a svyaziya with the government of the Ivanovo region. In 2019 the operator is going to direct 252 million rubles to construction of cellular infrastructure of the region. It will allow to unroll 4G networks/3G/2G in the territory where more than 98% of the population of the Ivanovo region live. The term of start of network is planned for the second quarter 2019. The total amount of investments which Tele2 is going to direct to cellular infrastructure of the Ivanovo region in 2018-2019 is 524 million rubles.

The agreement is signed by the CEO of Tele2 Sergey Emdin and the governor of the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky.

The cooperation purpose – development of telecommunication infrastructure of the region and increase in investments into area economy. The parties will implement jointly projects on digitalization of economy in the territory of the region and to increase availability of modern technologies to the population. Arrangements provide creation of modern communication services in the region and informing residents of Ivanovo on relevant telecom services.

In 2019 Tele2 continues a course of active development – the company directs investments to construction of 4G-networks and an exit into new regions among which the Ivanovo region. The beginning of work of Tele2 in Ivanov will change a telecommunication landscape of the region and will expand possibilities of the choice for inhabitants. It is important that our activity in local market will take place against the background of cooperation with the government of the Ivanovo region.
