2020: The agreement on interaction in the field of digitalization

Tele2, the alternative mobile operator, and the government of the Novgorod region signed the agreement on interaction in the field of digitalization of economy and development of telecommunication infrastructure of the region. The operator expressed readiness to take part in projects on development of LTE-450 network for public services, technologies of the "smart" city and also digital services for needs of agro-industrial complex. Announced this Tele2 on June 22, 2020.

The agreement was signed by the CEO of Tele2 Sergey Emdin and the governor of the Novgorod region Andrey Nikitin. The cooperation purpose – interaction of the operator and regional government in the field of development of information and telecommunication infrastructure of the region, including in the small and remote localities. Besides, the company will actively participate in implementation of the state program "Digital economy of Russia" in the territory of the area and to promote start of digital services, convenient for the population.

Among potential points there are interactions of the regional government and the mobile operator the project of digitalization of municipal economy "Smart city" is considered. He turns on distribution of technology of Internet of Things (NB-IoT), development of the standard of communication of LTE-450 for needs of the emergency and customer services and also projects on automation of needs of agro-industrial complex.

2019: The LTE installation on each antenna and mast construction

Only in 2019 the operator installed the equipment LTE on each antenna and mast construction of century Novgorod region. The company increased the speed and a coverage high-speed mobile Internet in 54 localities, on railroad sections Moscow – St. Petersburg and federal highways.

2015: Investment into infrastructure of 650 million rubles

Within the agreement with the regional government of 2015 Tele2 company invested about 650 million rubles in region infrastructure.
