The administration of the Omsk region develops PPP regarding control of traffic regulations on city roads

On February 12, 2014 the Vokord company announced end in December, 2013 of the first stage of the project of equipment of the central intersections of the city of Omsk cameras of fixing of traffic offenses. At four intersections of Omsk the cameras VOCORD NetCam4 running the VOCORD Traffic system are mounted.

Project Results

Violations are fixed at intersections: Maslennikov St. – Marx, Maslennikov St. – Pushkina, Maslennikov St. – Zhukova and Maslennikov St. – Kuibyshev.

In Omsk the VOCORD Traffic system is for the first time implemented. It is a unique for today system which fixes practically all types of violations of traffic regulations at intersections provided by the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offences:

• Arrival for the stop line
• Driving through red light
• The prohibited turn (sign 3.18.1)
• Turn from the prohibited row
• The prohibited turn at additional section of the traffic light
• The prohibited turn
• Journey "under a brick"

Control of these violations is especially relevant for fight against "traffic jams" and optimization of traffic in the city.

In addition to fixing of violations of VOCORD Traffic recognizes numbers of all machines passing the intersection and system operation was not influenced by the strongest frosts to in any way - 40 °C. In the project specialized video cameras are used VOCORD NetCam4, each of which controls from two to four lanes.

Installation of video cameras sideways from the road, on the existing columns, allowed to refuse construction of expensive P-shaped support.

All data on violations, together with the photo and video content confirming violation are automatically transferred from the VOCORD Traffic system to the Center of the automated fixing of administrative offenses.

Project Development

On July 8, 2014 the Vokord company announced the beginning of implementation of the second stage of the project on equipping of intersections of the city of Omsk the full-function system of fixing of traffic offenses (traffic regulations) VOCORD Traffic.

In the second quarter 2014 engineers of Vokord company added to the VOCORD Traffic system the special storyboards function allowing the operator to find quickly the most successful frame from video recorded by a system.

For July 7, 2014 21 intersections of the city are equipped with the cameras VOCORD NetCam4.

Developers conclude: thanks to the VOCORD Traffic system the number of violations on roads in the city, including drives on red light and arrival for the stop line, was considerably reduced.

It is planned that the program will be expanded, and by the end of the year 120 intersections of the city will be in total equipped with the cameras VOCORD NetCam4.
