MegaFon and the government of the Tyumen region agreed about joint development of digital economy

On December 26, 2018 it became known that MegaFon and the government of the Tyumen region signed the agreement on interaction on implementation of information telecommunication technologies in different spheres of economy of the region. In the next five years in the Tyumen region will start modern telecom developments and will accelerate development of communication services.

The governor of the Tyumen region Aleksandr Moor and the director of MegaFon in the Urals Valery Velichko agreed about cooperation on the innovation projects and digital technologies, including, on start of separate elements of "the smart city". To improve telecom infrastructure, the guide of the region and experts of communication will attract the scientific capacity of the Tyumen universities.

One of the proposed solutions of MegaFon – the project on digitalization of medicine directed to quality improvement and availability of medical assistance, increase in life expectancy of residents of Tyumen. Also, within development of "the smart cities", the sphere of transport – use of geoanalytical data is of special interest for planning of city infrastructure, implementation of "intellectual" stopping complexes, "smart" transport.

One of our priorities - creation of conditions for development of digital economy for what it is necessary to provide availability and universal use of digital technologies by authorities, the commercial sector and citizens. We see the considerable potential for cooperation with telecom operators for ensuring achievements of goals of the national project "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation". The high-quality and available communication is a necessary base for digital development of the region, successful implementation of hi-tech and innovation projects, including such as "Smart city". It is sure that experience and the innovation practices of MegaFon company us will be demanded for the solution of applied problems of use of technologies of "The smart city" in the Tyumen region. Daily "The smart city" generates a huge data stream which needs to be processed, analyzed and to use effectively. In view of the escalating value of these data for social and economic development of the region, I suggest to aim our joint efforts at the development of the sphere of data management and its staffing also. The agreement between the operator and the regional government — transition to specific actions on creation of a digital medium Earlier department of informatization of the Tyumen region and specialists of MegaFon within import substitution policy announced upgrade of an information and analytical system of the region. In the field of health care it will allow to keep track of efficiency of medical processes, for example, the adherence to deadlines of prescription of medicines, quantity addressed to reception, to control also statistics of results of treatment of patients, monitoring of epidemiological security in the area; in other sphere – public security is a functioning of the systems of "The safe city".

During the period from 2015 to 2017 we invested 895 million rubles in development of network in the region. Now the high-quality communication of MegaFon is available more than 97% of residents of the Tyumen region. The created telecom infrastructure — a basis for further implementation of elements of digital economy. Now our task — to pass to complex solutions smarts in the different industries, to the "smart" cities and regions. And I think, it is quite achievable. The parties also agreed about cooperation in further development of telecom infrastructure in small localities and in hardly accessible territories. The working group with involvement of consultants, profile experts will be for this purpose created.
