Elar Corporation has completed a project to create an automated information system (AIS) of the archival department of the Makhachkala city administration. This system is based on the domestic software AIS ELAR-Archive and is designed to automate archival business processes, which will significantly increase the efficiency of work and improve the working conditions of specialists. Elar announced this on March 26, 2025.

AIS includes subsystems of the municipal archive, as well as monitoring and administration, ensuring the safety of archived documents and providing users with access to their electronic copies. The system has open interfaces, which allows you to integrate it with other information systems, as well as modernize and expand functionality.

As part of the project, software was developed and implemented for accounting for the archive fund, processing requests and providing services through the personal account of users. In addition, there are advanced search functions, working with electronic copies of documents and an adapted interface for people with disabilities.

Earlier, the archive also installed planetary scanner ElarSCAN a A2-400KS that is suitable for streaming digitization of stitched cases, documents and books. This scanner one has a transformable cradle that allows you to work in flat mode with full opening (180 degrees) and in V-mode with partial opening (120 degrees). Optical zoom provides quick customization for various original formats up to A2 +, and integrated glass guarantees perfect page smoothing and quick scanning.

Archive employees will be able to digitize documents on the equipment for further loading them into the AIS, which will greatly simplify access to information and improve the quality of service for users.
