Ust-Katavsky Car Building Plant will supply 12 tram cars for Novokuznetsk

2022: Delivery Plan for Twelve Model 71-623-04 Tram Cars

Ust-Katavsky Car Building Plant (part of the State Corporation Roskosmos"") won the tender for the supply of twelve tram cars in, Novokuznetsk which was announced. city administration Roscosmos announced this on July 27, 2022.

In 2021, UKVZ also won the tender for the supply of twenty wagons to Novokuznetsk. The Roscosmos enterprise fulfilled the contract and replenished the city's tram fleet with partially low-floor tram cars model 71-623-04. Within the framework of the concluded contract, wagons of the same model will be produced.

Practice shows that UKVZ cars with a variable floor level are in demand by Russian cities due to their versatility - they can be operated on a rail surface in any condition, as well as as as a single car, and as part of a train of several cars, coupled into one rolling stock and controlled from one cab. Tram cars of model 71-623-04 have seats for people with limited mobility and passengers with children, the passenger compartment is equipped with an air conditioning system with climate control function, USB connectors for charging mobile devices and other options. Trams of this model meet all requirements in terms of reliability and safety and have a 100% low floor level in the boarding and disembarkation zone of passengers^[1].
