In the working settlement Central Akhtuba is complete upgrade of the boiler house

On February 16, 2015 it became known of the project of CROC company on replacement of the worn-out equipment of the boiler house in the city settlement Central Akhtuba of the Volgograd region.

Project Tasks

The boiler house of 1976 of construction worked for heating of 23 five-floor and about 40 two-storeyed houses, boilers could not be used at full capacity, because of wear of the equipment. Residents of the settlement received less heat, the boiler house sustained permanent losses. After to the boiler house in 2014 connected two new apartment houses, the situation became critical.

The task of replacement of the equipment was complicated by need of execution of works on the operating boiler house in the period of a heating season.

Project Progress

"We developed production schedules of works taking into account the minimum time of a stop of the existing equipment and pipelines of the boiler house for accomplishment of an assigned task. For example, for transfer of the collector of the existing boilers, welders needed only 45 minutes, and all welding works were performed at the same time by three workers at the height more than three meters. It should be noted that during work on transfer of the collector air temperature in the city settlement was -10 °C that could cause freezing of water in thermal networks of removed consumers. But due to accurate planning and speed of works we managed to prevent it. Specialists of CROC performed all works in a short time without decline in quality of the heat carrier issued to the boiler house" — Alexander Shirokov, the director of the department of intellectual buildings of CROC company told.

After reconstruction the boiler house will work in the automatic mode, without permanent presence of service staff. Automatic equipment of the boiler house will provide:

• temperature maintenance of the heat carrier given to network of heating according to outside temperature;
• flow control of gas according to a required heat load;
• feed of thermal network chemical purified water in case of leak or unauthorized selection of the heat carrier;
• rotation of boilers.

The feature of the project - CROC company acted in it both as the contractor, and as the investor. The forthcoming reduction by the customer of expenses at the expense of the carried-out works on updating of the equipment became a guarantee of "return of investments" and a source of means in the project for CROC.

Project Results

"Payment for the performed works us will be made during 2015 due to economy of costs of the boiler house for natural gas. We are grateful to CROC company for this opportunity. Already now I can tell that we will not stop at this first stage of upgrade of the boiler house. In the next plans — further reconstruction of objects of heat supply of our area" — Vasily Sokolov, the deputy head of administration of the district settlement Central Akhtuba noted.
