2018: Project Completion

The Jet Infosystems company announced on April 10, 2018 project completion on creation for Aeroexpress transport enterprise of IT infrastructure. On a response of the customer, project implementation allowed to provide high availability of business applications.

The full range of works, from design before start of the platform in commercial operation, was executed in a short time — in 3 months, specified in Jet Infosystems.

During the project specialists of integrator carried out calculation of an optimal configuration of the hardware, designed architecture of the IT platform, performed installation, tuning, testing and start of IT infrastructure in commercial operation.

The constructed IT infrastructure includes from itself a server complex, a storage system, the system of virtualization, two SAP HANA complexes. All components are reserved, switching time on reserve capacities in case of failure makes several minutes, admissible idle time — no more than 1 hour a year.

The fulfilled replicated infrastructure solution for SAP applications became one of project deliverables, according to Alexander Skorobogatov, the deputy manager of department on operational management of Jet Infosystems company.

As of April, 2018, the integrator provides technical support of the equipment and the system software, and administration and monitoring of an IT complex are executed by specialists of Aeroexpress company. Experts of integrator developed a complete set of operational documentation for the IT platform and provided training of employees of the customer.

2016-2017: Project Progress

In July, 2017 the Aeroexpress transport company announced start in commercial operation of a single system of business process management based on the SAP S/4HANA platform. The company began creation of a system with fall of 2016.

Functional volume

A system covers the key directions regarding finance, accounting and tax accounting, logistics, management of inventory items, commercial lease agreements. Also it automates process of maintenance of trains  due to implementation  of modules TOPO SAP which provide  management of repairs of rolling stocks, distributing  terms of repair work and financial resources  on these purposes.

On the way to SAP Aeroexpress passed through Oracle

In  depot  of Aeroexpress terminals based on the SAP solution Fiori  for viewing by workers  information  on terms of implementation of repair work and  entering  into the system of changes  about the number of the equipment in a warehouse and completion of works will be installed.

The second stage of project implementation is planned for fall of 2017. Aeroexpress is going to optimize processes of budgeting, business planning and purchases. Also the risk-oriented management system for powers of SAP Access Control will be implemented. The company expects that it  will allow to avoid cases of issue of access rights in the ERP system which can allow abuse and fraud.

The automation system of business processes used earlier completely suited us. However in connection with growth of the company transition to more modern Business Process Management Suite was necessary. Follows from reporting documents of Aeroexpress that earlier, in particular, for accounting and tax accounting, payroll and personnel processes the company used software of 1C. In vacancies at a position of programmers of 1C which Aeroexpress posted online, among requirements to key skills, in addition to knowledge of accounting and personnel products of 1C also knowledge of the products "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management", "1C: Integrated Automation", etc. was registered.

Nedovnedrenny Oracle

In 2013 Aeroexpress began to implement ERP based on Oracle E-Business Suite, it is specified in one of its annual reports. A system had to cover "all aspects of a management activity of the enterprise": resource planning (financial, labor, material) for production of goods and services (depot); operational management of plans (including supply, sale and others); all types of accounting; analysis of results of business activities.

There were plans to bring new ERP into trial operation in the 2nd quarter 2015. In 2014 "works" on a system implementation project were actively carried out.

In 2015 the works on setup and start in operation of "the second prototype" of the ERP system based on Oracle E-Business Suite, said in the annual report of Aeroexpress for that year were completed. But later, in March, "in pursuance of the plan of crisis response measures for 2015" further project implementation was suspended.

At the beginning of 2015 we completed the works on setup of the information system Oracle E-Business Suite, the second prototype. Further implementation was suspended for the purpose of optimization of an investment program, - told TAdviser in Aeroexpress. - In the middle of 2016 we returned to the project on complex implementation of the ERP system. After evaluating and market monitoring, gave preference to the product of SAP company used in transport companies worldwide including in the Russian Railway.

Aeroexpress added that selected the SAP product S/4 HANA which successful implementations then only began to appear in the Russian market.

At the same time, based on Oracle in Aeroexpress are automated the system of sales, CRM and BI, told TAdviser in the company. All accounting and management processes - in SAP S/4HANA.
