The Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies has implemented a project to introduce a laboratory information system (LIS) in a research and testing center (NIC). The system is aimed at automating work processes, which made it possible to significantly increase the efficiency and quality of research. The main goal of the LIS implementation was to optimize laboratory data, reduce labor costs in the design of results and automate the formation of printing plates. The company announced this on January 9, 2024.

LIS is the own development of the Group of Companies. As a result of the market analysis and receiving several commercial proposals, Agropromkomplektatsiya specialists came to the conclusion that they would better cope with the task on their own.

This information solution allows you to analyze the necessary indicators, including the results of research, and provides the opportunity to generate reports in the context of indicators, methods and departments. The introduction of LIS allowed:

• reduce the time required to prepare and issue protocols;
• reduce the number of employees involved in the execution of protocols;
• implement creation and accumulation of a data array for statistical processing and operational formation of summary reporting;
• Automate the generation of print layouts and reports
• through the introduction of an electronic "Research Order" to reduce the likelihood of errors in the formation of accompanying documents and during research;
• Increase the productivity and manageability of processes
• reduce the processing time of samples in the laboratory;
• provide simplified access to all data required for laboratory testing;
• implement reporting functionality based on data in LIS.

The introduction of a laboratory information system was an important step in ensuring the traceability of our processes. Maintaining accreditation requirements is not just a formality, but a necessity that requires a systematic approach and continuous improvement. LIS allowed us not only to reduce the time for paper work, but also to guarantee compliance with all the necessary standards and principles for documenting research results. Process automation has significantly reduced processing time and improved the efficiency of our center. Simplified data verification and validation procedures provided an additional level of reliability and accuracy in the operation of the Group enterprises. The research and testing center of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies was opened in 2020 in the village of Troitskoye, Kursk Region, and has been conducting molecular biological and immunological research since then. In 2022, the NIC increased its status by passing accreditation according to GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 standards, which confirms its high competence in the field of testing.

Every year, the Research Center conducts more than 200 thousand studies by PCR and ELISA methods, ensuring the biological safety and safety of food products. The Centre conducts trials to detect various infectious diseases in animals, including the diagnosis of African swine fever. The introduction of LIS is an important step towards the further development of research and development centers as part of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies.
