Airports of Regions implement the system of a video conferencing

On April 1, 2015 the UTsSB company announced a victory in tender on upgrade of the VKS system of Airports of Regions holding.

Project Tasks

Staff of Airports of Regions holding solves the problems connected with construction new and operation of the existing airports, personnel and managerial problems. For operational interaction employees several years the set of terminals of video conference was used. Growth of holding demanded expansion of functions of a system of a video conferencing. For compliance to expectations of business it was required to ensure simultaneous operation of bigger number of participants, to increase quality of video, to provide broadcast of presentation materials and to provide to users clear planning tools and session managements of VKS.

Project Progress

Specialists of "UTsSB" suggested to use products and solutions of production of company Cisco Systems, Inc.

Infrastructure of the VKS system includes the server of registration Cisco VCS and the server of processing of media flows of Cisco MCU 5320. End devices are modern solutions of Cisco of the SX series, legacy terminals that allowed to use the existing equipment for cost optimization most fully. Armoring of conferences is executed by standard means of MS Outlook, by means of integration of a management system of Cisco TMS with a corporate mail system. The VKS system is integrated with the distributed telephone network of holding. For connection of users from mobile devices the Cisco Jabber Video software clients are used.

Ivan Ustylenko, the manager on development of solutions and services of interaction of UTsSB LLC, noted: "The greatest value of this project for UTsSB company and for me personally is that the solution is used by the Customer in full. Daily assets of holding carry out till 6-10 sessions of VKS, actively use an opportunity for the multimedia presentations and work with documents".

VKS system core in Yekaterinburg, several meeting rooms used by the management of holding – in Moscow, communication terminals – in all cities of presence of holding. For ensuring required quality of sessions of VKS specialists of "UTsSB" unrolled a monitoring system of parameters of communication channels for data collection of statistics. On the basis of this information specialists of holding created requirements to telecom operators and achieved observance of required parameters of channels.

Larisa Mamleeva, the associate director on IT of UK "Airports of Regions", noted: "The specifics of work of holding assume carrying out a large number of meetings of all divisions. System implementation of VKS allowed us to reduce considerably the finance and time expenditure connected with business trips of employees. At the same time high quality of video provides a visual component of communication and a possibility of joint work with presentation materials and documents not only in electronic, but also in paper form. In terms of core business of holding one of the main results is increase in efficiency and efficiency of all processes connected with interaction of specialists and heads of all levels".
