The# NObalance software was developed by Auchan Tech as part of the retailer's information systems autonomy program. Soft also meets the principles of sustainable development and is aimed at combating food waste. The software implementation process started in the second half of 2024 and was completely completed by the end of the year, covering all Russian outlets in Auchan. The company announced this on April 21, 2025.

# NObalance allows you to markdown specific items with a suitable shelf life. In addition, the software, together with the auto-order function, makes it possible to automatically adapt the volume of orders to the needs of a particular store, thanks to which it is possible to systematically reduce the volume of grocery write-offs. For comparison, in 2023, thanks to the use of third-party software, it was possible to "save" more than 12.5 thousand tons of products, preventing the release of 31.4 thousand tons of CO2. In 2024, with the introduction of# NO BALANCE software, AUCHAN Retail Russia prevented the disposal of 9.6 thousand tons of products, which is equivalent to more than 19.6 million units of goods. Thus, it was possible to avoid additional emissions of 24.1 thousand tons of CO2 generated during the disposal of expired products.

AUCHAN Retail Russia customers help in the fight against food waste - they purchase high-quality products with an expiring shelf life with a discount of up to 60%. These are cooking, dairy, bread, meat, poultry, packaged fish and other products. About 70% of the offered goods find their buyers.

Software# WITHOUT balance shows its effectiveness - the percentage of write-offs to AUCHAN Retail Russia is systematically decreasing. The peculiarity of the software lies in its ability to adapt to the specific needs of the business.
