2022: Building a Network Infrastructure

On August 1, 2022, Beltel announced the creation of the network infrastructure of the Balle House.

The reliable operation of the engineering systems of the premium building required a well-thought-out network infrastructure. Construction was entrusted to Beltel, which has not only extensive experience in such projects, but also a license that allows work on cultural heritage sites, which include the mansion. System Integrator performed, design equipment supply, installation and commissioning, SCS LAN and network Wi-Fi in common areas.

The local computer network provides the operation of the video surveillance system of the building, including cameras and the operator's workplace, as well as UPS systems, building automation systems, Wi-Fi access, digital signage and interactive television systems.

The peculiarity of LAN lies in the control system implementing the concept of a logical switch distributed throughout the building. This ensures a highly reliable infrastructure operation and ease of use with a minimum number of maintenance personnel. Also, the advantages of the solution include a completely redundant wired infrastructure (at speeds of 10 Gbps) and a wireless LAN without a single point of failure. A firewall is installed on the network to guard against unwanted traffic.

The common areas of the apartment complex have 40 Wi-Fi access points, including six points inside the elevator cabins. Predictive radio modeling allowed to select the best location and number of access points.
