2022: Start creating an experimental zone for drone movement

The Aeroscript Research Center has begun to create an experimental zone for the movement of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Belgorod region. The organization signed an agreement with the Biryuch innovation center of EFCO, which announced this on February 16, 2022. We are talking about both physical and IT infrastructure, which is based on the first Russian digital platform for organizing unmanned air traffic "Nebosvod."

The project involves a comprehensive study, modeling and testing of the digital environment for the organization of conflict-free air traffic in the interests of new types of business related to the provision of services using unmanned technologies.

In "big aviation," the CNS system (communication - "communication," navigation - "navigation," surveillance - "observation") is responsible for such navigation of air traffic participants. A similar system is needed for drones.

The application will systematize and protect the movement of all drones in the region. The final stage is the development and harmonization of the regulatory framework, which can then be scaled to the federal level.

Thanks to automation, the process of gaining access to airspace can be reduced by 10 times. For comparison: in February 2022, in order to obtain official permission to conduct flights, you need to collect many documents and wait for the approval of the application from two weeks to a month.

EFCO connects its future in the coming years and even decades with the Hi-Fly project. In the creation of the aircraft itself, we have already advanced quite far. We have a clear plan of action for the next few years. The organization of unmanned air traffic - first in the Belgorod region, and then throughout the country and, possibly, even outside it - is one of the main infrastructure challenges of developers. We are glad that in the person of Aeroscript we have found a reliable partner in this direction . The administration of the Belgorod region also supports this idea, which means that our region may become one of the first in Russia where the work of all unmanned aerial vehicles will be systematized and automated. This will not only increase the safety of flights of all devices, but, most importantly, bring Belgorod residents closer to a new quality of life. Some of its elements, like air taxi, until recent years could seem fantastic. But not today or tomorrow they can become the same accessible service as a regular taxi or food delivery services, "said Yuri Kozarenko, General Director of the Biryuch Innovation Center.
