On April 27, 2015 the Infinera company announced implementation of the Infinera Cloud Xpress platform by Blackboard company for ensuring connection of three DPCs located in the USA.

The Blackboard provider planned to provide modern multimedia services of distance learning to users and selected Cloud Xpress.
The Blackboard company selected Infinera Cloud Xpress because of a compact form factor and low power consumption of the platform. In combination with Infinera Instant Bandwidth technology which helps to increase capacity on demand with a step to 100 Gbps on the basis of the operative equipment. Infinera Cloud Xpress will help to provide to Blackboard the training services rich with content to both pupils, and educational institutions, providing the capacity of input-output operations at the level up to 1 Tbit / with on two rack units (RU).
