Boom Supersonic and Dassault Systèmes announced partnership for development of the high-speed commercial Overture airliner

On May 16, 2019 the Dassault Systèmes company announced that Boom Supersonic implemented platform 3DEXPERIENCE for acceleration of design and creation of own Overture airliner – the commercial airplane gathering speed 2.2 Moves which will allow to make supersonic flights everywhere widespread and available.

According to the company, Boom Supersonic uses industry solution of Dassault Systèmes of "Reinvent the Sky" based on platform 3DEXPERIENCE for all process of creation of products, since work on the concept and finishing with production and certification. Using this industry solution Boom Supersonic will be able to cut by half time of development of the first prototype and to improve product quality. Thus reduction of complexity of the program and increase in efficiency through cost reduction and costs of resources reduces for the company occurrence barriers on the market.

To become the engine of innovations in long-haul commercial air transportation the Boom Supersonic company during the work on Overture uses achievements in the field of aerodynamics, materials science and aviation power units. After start the flagman airliner of Overture company will become the fastest commercial airplane in the history, capable to gather speed 2.2 Moves that will allow to make flight from New York to London in 3.25 hours, and from Tokyo to San Francisco – in 5.5 hours.
