The system of engineering training of production is implemented by NPP Burintekh

The manufacturing company of the boring BURINTEH tool brought into commercial operation an automated system of engineering training of production based on solutions of ASCON. The software package is integrated with a corporate information system of the enterprise. Works on implementation are performed by specialists of ASCON-Ufa company.

Reference points

The project was aimed at creation of a common information space for all participants of business processes of preparation of production and increase in efficiency of functioning of the corporate information system (CIS) for the transfer account of engineering data from design and technology divisions.

As work benches of design designers of NPP BURINTEKH use the KOMPAS-3D system, technologists – TP VERTICAL CAD. Therefore when choosing the platform for the organization of collective work CAD focus of a PDM system, ability to integrate with work benches and also existence of functions of electronic approval of design documentation was considered. On the basis of these criteria the LOTSMAN:PLM system which became a link between engineers and a corporate information system was selected.

Solution

During the project the implementation team solved the following tasks:

• organization of uniform engineering reference books of design-technology data
• organization of processes of design preparation of production
• organization of processes of technology preparation of production
• organization of design process of the equipment
• organization of processes of regulation
• creation of uniform rules and regulations of work of engineering services in an automated system
• reduction of volume of routine transactions in work with engineering documentation
• providing up-to-date data on engineering training of production to the management of the enterprise.

Results

The system of engineering training of production in NPP BURINTEKH provides collecting, storage and preparation in a necessary format of design-technology data for further application in CIS in solving of tasks of enterprise management and achievement of transparency of business processes for the management of the enterprise.

Designers and technologists received means of collective work on projects, including functions of use of the borrowed solutions that led to quality improvement of structural design and technology processes for new products. Existence of settlement subsystems allowed to obtain objective data on materialo-and the labor inputs of products necessary for calculation of their cost value.

Opinion

Salomatin Andrey Aleksandrovich, the head of department of the milling and sliding tool, noted: "For design engineers of NPP BURINTEKH introduction of this system led to the following improvements. Check of control copies of the design documentation (DD) became simpler, everything occurs electronically. There is no need in paper form of DD for petition and, therefore, time and the used supplies were reduced (paper, cartridges, blackened). Communication and transfer of DD to technology department became simpler: documentation appears in their base automatically after check and approval of DD. Time was reduced, possible errors are excluded during creation of specifications. It was promoted by development of own libraries at implementation of the LOTSMAN:PLM complex. For engineers of technology department similar improvements concerned development process of technology processes and other technology documentation".
