Business Solutions Adviser (BSA, Business of Advayzer Solutions) (Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009)

At the end of 2013 the BSA company had an important and urgent project on development of the system of management of a warehouse of mesh type of network of retail stores of the Duty-Free format. Terms of the project were compressed, and there was a need for attraction of additional resources.

The customer needed the highly skilled contractor corresponding to criteria:

• Ability to understand independently already developed functionality;
• Capability implement new functionality on the basis of business requirements, but not tasks for completion;
• It is the is most complete to use fixed functions of a system.

The Neti company could provide resources, necessary on the qualification, meeting the stated requirements with rather small rate on works. Since December, 2013 cooperation of Business Solutions Adviser with specialists of Neti began.

In 8 months of joint work, or 1050 hours of development, the warehouse management system of mesh type of network of retail stores of the Duty-Free format was completely implemented, including the following tasks are solved:

1. Development of functionality:

• Acceptance of the delivered goods on a warehouse taking into account specifics of the Russian legislation during the work with goods in the customs zone;
• Placement of the accepted goods on warehouse cells taking into account the system of rules of combination of commodity categories (for example, strict prohibition of placement in the next cells on any measurement of perfumery and tobacco);
• Movement of goods between warehouse cells taking into account the system of rules of combination of commodity categories;
• Consolidation and repacking of goods between storage units (paleta / a box);
• The module "Task manager" is automatic formation and purpose of warehouse tasks (acceptance, movement, placement, selection, shipment) on contractors (users of a system);
• The module "Delivery" is selection and shipment of goods to shops from a warehouse, calculation of loading of transport taking into account a priority of delivery and a route.

2. Development of the user interface taking into account the developed functionality is to front-office (the shipping documentations running Windows Mobile connected through RDP to NAV) and back-office (NAV on personal computers).

In a work progress permanent interaction with the project manager and group of development, discussion of assigned tasks and their completion (change of functional requirements) taking into account proposals of specialists of Neti was conducted.

Terms of the project were very compressed, users of a system had a need for the fastest start, it influenced business. External factors constantly moved implementation terms. The situation was aggravated with cardinal change of requirements and tasks "on the project course" (as it often happens), which were discussed, accepted and implemented in the course of delivery of works to users of a system.

Thanks to involvement of Neti, Business Solutions Adviser company it was succeeded to minimize risks and to hand over the project with an insignificant delay of terms.
