Inclusion of the project in the strategy of Minpromtorg on medical industry development
On August 7, 2018 it became known of what Ministry of Industry and Trade Russia was supported by the project of creation in Sverdlovsk region the Center nuclear medicine based on PAT- the center of network "PAT-Technology". According to the first vice governor of Sverdlovsk region Alexey Orlov, the project will be included in the Development strategy pharmaceutical and medical the industries until 2030.
Taking into account exclusive importance of the project for our health care, in view of its complexity and novelty, the decision on creation of the corresponding working group with participation of a wide range of the interested subjects of competences was made. For formation of the uniform concept of future center all offers should be sent to the Ministry of Health of Sverdlovsk region until the end of August — Orlov said. |
The governor of Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev gave assignment about creation of the center in June, 2018, and in July the relevant agreement with concerned parties was signed.
Over the project executive bodies of the state power of the region and the enterprise of the region are involved: PAT-Technology, Elektrokhimpribor plant and Rusatom Healthcare (two last are included into Rosatom state corporation), the Ural manufacturing enterprise "Vektor" and also universities with the relevant research base, including Ural Federal University and the Ural medical university.[1]
It is supposed that in the Ekaterinburg center of nuclear medicine not only diagnostics, but also radio nuclide therapy will be carried out, to be rendered complex services in such fields of medicine as oncology, cardiology, neurology and others. Besides, production of radiopharmaceuticals is planned.[2]
The agreement on creation in Yekaterinburg of the center of nuclear medicine for 2 billion rubles
By 2020 in Sverdlovsk region the center of nuclear medicine of a full stroke within which patients will be able to receive the modern oncological help — from diagnostics before treatment and monitoring will be created. The agreement on it was signed on July 10, 2018 Rusatom Healthcare company (the enterprise of ROSATOM State Corporation), the Government of Sverdlovsk region, by Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin and Medinvestgroup LLC.
The agreement, in particular, assumes implementation of the investment project on creation in Yekaterinburg of the center of nuclear medicine on the principles of public-private partnership. The center is going to equip with the modern medical equipment allowing not only to reveal oncological diseases at patients at an early stage, but also to render the highly effective therapeutic help. It is expected that in a complex it will allow to reduce significantly oncological diseases mortality in Sverdlovsk region.
PAT-Technology — Rusnano portfolio company which will invest 2 billion rubles in creation of the center of nuclear medicine will become the contractor and the investor of the project. Construction of medical institution will be conducted based on PET / KT-centra PAT-Technology. The company already invested for 4 years 4.6 billion rubles in development of national network of the centers of nuclear medicine, having opened 11 diagnostic and 2 production centers in 10 regions of Russia.[3]

In turn, cooperation with Ural Federal University is intended to contribute to the development of scientific and technical and educational capacity of Sverdlovsk region in the field of development of technologies of nuclear medicine, including high-quality training of specialists in the field of nuclear medicine, noted in Rosatom.
Project implementation will allow to increase availability of services of nuclear medicine to residents of Sverdlovsk region and nearby regions, to raise quality of diagnostics and treatment and also will contribute to the development of scientific capacity of the Ural Federal District — the CEO of Rusatom Healthcare Denis Cherednichenko considers. |
