The Lengiproneftekhim institute completed the project of virtualization of jobs

On July 8, 2016 the Softline company announced the project of virtualization of jobs of staff of Lengiproneftekhim design institute.

Project Tasks

Lengiproneftekhim is project, rendering services to the enterprises of the oil-processing and petrochemical industry.

In the work most of employees of institute uses IT services, in the course of creation of project solutions. At the same time activity of specialists of the organization assumes work, both at head office, and in business trips on objects across all Russia, meetings with partners. The IT personnel of institute were faced by a task to provide secure and comfortable access of employees to the published annexes and virtual desktops by means of mobile devices at remote work.

Project Progress

Specialists of Softline proposed the solution on delivery of desktops on the Citrix XenDesktop 7.6 platform and NVIDIA GRID technology.

Project Results

The NVIDIA GRID technology allows to start any applications available on physical desktops, on virtual desktops. It provides reliable access for users even to graphically saturated applications requiring a large number of computing resources from any place. Within the project specialists of the contractor supplied and deployed the server hardware HP, turning on graphic cards NVIDIA GRID K2, products Citrix XenServer 6.5 SP1, Citrix XenDesktop 7.6 Citrix NetScaler 10.5. Implementation provided to employees comfortable conditions for remote work.

The solution implemented by our specialists will give the chance to the customer more rationally to distribute IT resources, exercising centralized operation of infrastructure.
