City-Engineering upgraded IT infrastructure

On November 2, 2016 the Softline company announced completion of upgrade of IT infrastructure "to PSK "City-Engineering".

Project Tasks

With staff increase and preparation for a project startup, IT specialists of the organization defined tasks of upgrade of infrastructure, commissioning of additional IT services, centralization of monitoring and management. On a competitive basis the partner of the project selected Softline company.

Project Progress

Specialists of Softline conducted examination of a hardware-software complex on two platforms of the customer – the main in St. Petersburg and branch in Nizhnekamsk. By inspection it is revealed that the organization used the obsolete server hardware, and network transmission capacity is insufficient. Interaction between IT infrastructure of two offices is organized inefficiently, was controlled not on a centralized basis - in network two independent domains worked.

For ensuring centralized operation with IT resources specialists of the contractor suggested to upgrade a LAN at office of St. Petersburg, to organize two failover server clusters using technologies of virtualization and to migrate IT services in the uniform domain.

The company unrolled the system of the joint communications on the software platform Communigate Pro, services of firewalling and content filtering. Engineers of Softline carried out upgrade of the systems of antivirus protection, backup, the centralized monitoring, updates of OS and software.

Project Results

As a result the customer received the multifunction system differing in simplicity of monitoring, administration and scaling, optimizing at the same time purchase costs and hardware maintenance.
