Greenatom transfers to Russian software administration of Magnitogorsk

2020: Transfer of jobs of staff of administration on Astra Linux

On January 18, 2021 Greenatom announced that his specialists of separate division in Chelyabinsk implemented a pilot project on transfer of jobs of staff of city administration of Magnitogorsk of Chelyabinsk region to use of the import-independent operating system. The Russian Astra Linux OS for January, 2021 is implemented in workplaces of pilot group and also works on transfer on her of the main part of users began. In total within the project the domestic operating system is going to be implemented more than in 500 workplaces of municipal employees.

Magnitogorsk – one of the first municipalities in Chelyabinsk region which started transfer of jobs to AstraLinux. The ministry of information technologies, communication and digital development of Chelyabinsk region actively supports and shares experience with IT specialists of administrations of the cities in questions of import substitution.

Our key task within project implementation in Magnitogorsk – to carry out migration on import-independent software to a short time and it is comfortable for users. At the same time we perform 100% of works by own efforts that allows not to distract resources of IT specialists of the customer on accomplishment of non-standard, labor-consuming tasks, - Alexander Kondakov, the head of separate division of JSC Greenatom in Chelyabinsk noted.
