On August 13, 2018 the JSC ER-Telecom Holding company announced start in Penza networks of Industrial Internet of Things (Industrial Internet of Things, IIoT).
According to the company, the IoT network of JSC ER-Telecom of Holding represents a wireless radio network for digital transformation of production, business objects and city infrastructure based on technology of communication LoRaWAN.
As it was reported, ER-Telecom manages IoT network through the telecommunication platform of Actility company, the representative of the industry of networks with low power consumption (Low Power Wide Area Network, LPWAN). The operator creates the directory of IoT-solutions together with several software developers: from touch sensors to a business intelligence, machine learning and a blockchain. Their application will help clients to increase efficiency of business processes, to pass from visual or calendar hardware maintenance to service on a status, to transfer employees to intellectual works from unqualified transactions, having transferred them to the machine.
According to representatives of the company, the IoT-solution of ER-Telecom will keep development of digital economy at the expense of tools for industrial productions, the enterprises of power and housing and public utilities, business, city services and "The smart city". For example, it is remote monitoring and energy management, labor safety, predictive service, monitoring of transport and other IoT-services.
In Penza the network of base stations of IoT is developed in all districts of the city. It is constructed completely for the investment account of JSC ER-Telecom of Holding. For digital transformation of the enterprises with a distributed infrastructure for regions of Russia (oil fields, departments of banks, the logistic centers, shops of retail, etc.) the holding expects to complete the construction of network of industrial Internet of Things more than in 60 cities with the population over 300 thousand people by the end of 2018, using LoRaWAN technology.[1]
