Comfy (Columbus WMS)

The retail network of home appliances and Comfy electronics applied the IT solution of own development to management of logistic processes. A system provided accomplishment of key warehouse transactions regarding acceptance, storages, shipments of goods, but had no sufficient flexibility. The Ukrainian retailer decided to implement the WMS system on the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 platform developed by Columbus IT. In parallel with transition to a new management system training of several hundred workers of the distribution center was provided. For the fourth day of transition using a new system it was succeeded to organize acceptance of goods, and next day - and shipment. The plan of shipments to the first week of work was completely implemented. A new system reduces the volume of unproductive transactions and movements of warehouse personnel and technicians, coordinating actions taking into account their loading within uniform tasks. Thanks to integration of the WMS system with data collection terminals the company had an opportunity precisely and quickly to distribute and monitor shipment of products to retail stores, purchased convenient tools for planning and control of stocks. Comfy expects significant decrease in commodity losses - due to better accounting of goods by storage locations.
